Institute of Management Studies (IMS) Ghaziabad – Business School fraternity joined the nation in celebrating the 75th Independence Day- “Utsav Azadi Ka” on 15th August, 2021. Addressing on this occasion, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad (Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad) , commemorated the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and also emphasized on unfaltering grit and patriotism for our country. Highlighting the critical role of students in nation building, she motivated one and all through an energetic poem which rekindled the dreams of students and simultaneously provided direction for realizing them.A vibrant cultural program was enthusiastically organized by the energetic PGDM students who showcased a colorful mix of songs, poetry and dance depicting patriotic themes. A brilliant mime, enacted by the students, exhibited a glimpse of Bhagat Singh’s sacrifice and contribution of Mahatma Gandhi to India’s independence, leaving the audience spell-bound. The staff and faculty members also came forward to participate in the fervor of Independence Day Celebration.The event witnessed a high octane environment full of energy and enthusiasm, brimming with the zealous participation of the students. The electrifying performances received standing ovations from one and all. The program ended with the National Anthem and appreciation of India’s strength of Unity in Diversity.
