In order to reignite the passion of achieving as well as sustaining excellence among its students ,IMS Ghaziabad, an institute par excellence in the domain of Management Education, organized Induction Program, Phase II on “Opportunities and Challenges for Budding Managers” on August 27 – 28, 2021. The mega event was conceived under the guidance of Mr. Naresh Agarwal, Chairman; Mr. Nitin Agarwal, Management Trustee and the visionary leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad.In her Inaugural Address, Dr.Makkar welcomed all the dignitaries, keynote speakers, panelists and alumni. She highlighted the rich legacy of the institute and her expectations from the student managers. Using relevant anecdotes, references and examples, she highlighted on the power of dreams and visualization as the keys to success.The program was enriched by the keen insights of Chief Guest, Mr Pankaj Dubey (CEO, Power Global Energy India & Ex-CEO, Eicher), Presidential Speaker, Mr Rajan Bhandari (CEO, Hitachi, MGRM), Keynote Speakers, Mr Sushil Agarwal (CMD, Avro India Pvt. Ltd.), Mr Sharad Verma (National Sales Head South Asia, Hoya Surgical Optics) and many other reputed corporate bigwigs. They shared their experiences and insights on challenges in the contemporary competitive environment amidst the changing nature of jobs. Factors like agility, adaptability, commitment, well-being, analytical bent of mind etc. were highlighted. The sessions were indeed inspirational for the young inquisitive minds of the budding managers who posed a volley of questions before the experts.Amidst the world of business, the environment was not given a miss. Mr Vineet Vohra, a renowned Environmentalist & Speaker, Give Me Trees Trust, New Delhi, urged the students to be equally concerned about the environment, while preparing for their corporate journeys. Emphasizing on co-existence, he reiterated on the value of planting trees and saving the habitat for sustainability of the future generations. The Induction Program was highly instrumental in strengthening the acumen, passion and confidence of the students thus gearing them to face the tough challenges ahead.
