IMS Ghaziabad (Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad) organized a 12 Hrs. (6 hours each day) Workshop on ‘SPIN Selling in the Virtual World’ for PGDM Batch 2020-22 on September 21-22, 2021 at its campus. In her inaugural address, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad (Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad) shared that the aim of this workshop was to enhance the knowledge of students in the art of selling so they become more agile to deliver results at their potential workplace irrespective of their specializations. She cited inspirational examples of business leaders who started their career in sales and how they reached leadership positions later in life. This workshop helped final year students to emerge as more confident and geared up to face the challenges ahead.By highlighting the importance of the workshop, the expert resource person Ms. Veena Kumar, Director, Competitive Edge Consultants deliberated that selling is an inevitable part of a career, starting from our daily lives to the extent of global outreach. The objective was to equip students with the ‘Brahmastra Selling Skills’, most needed in the current times. It was conducted with the help of role-plays, sales activities and exercises. Students shared their experiences in a speak-up session where they gained immense knowledge about the various selling techniques. The event was an enriching experience for the students to have a holistic view about Situation, Problem, Implication, and Need-payoff (SPIN).
