Taking forth its legacy of academic excellence with holistic development of the students, IMS Ghaziabad organized ‘SAMAAGAM -2021’, the grand Annual Academic Fest, on October 25-26, 2021 at its campus. Conceptualized under the mentorship of Director, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, the power packed competition was envisioned to provide a platform to the budding managers to showcase their talent, converge their creativity and build ideas in teams.

In her Inaugural Address, Dr. Urvashi spoke on the tremendous importance of out of class learning activities in developing managerial acumen and leadership qualities in the students. She congratulated the faculty and student coordinators of different clubs for coming up with numerous innovative ideas. Appreciating the energy flowing across the campus and the flawless execution of the mega event, she emphasized that ‘Samaagam 2021’ will etch memories of a lifetime for one and all.

The session was graced with the esteemed presence of Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Harpreet Kaur – Principal, Mata Sundri College of Women, University of Delhi; Guest of Honor, Mr. Pankaj Gupta, Founder and CEO, Act 21 Software Private Limited and Mr. Rohit Pande, Co-founder and CEO, Habitat, who motivated the students to believe in their dreams and confidently strive towards their realization.

During the day, the students enthusiastically participated in a variety of fun and learning activities, organized by Markwiz, Finnacle, Saksham, Aayam, Aabhar and Pioneers- the different student driven clubs of the institute. The Aabhar Club organized ‘Win a Smile- Cooking without Fire Competition’. With the cooperation of Mr. Manpreet Mann, a renowned samaritan and COVID hero, who has been working ceaselessly for social causes, the dishes prepared by the participants were lovingly packed and distributed to street children in Noida and Delhi.

The event witnessed massive participation from the energetic and enthusiastic learners of the institute. Coordinated by Dr. Ajay K Patel, Dean Students Affairs and Dr. Radhika Malhotra, Program Chairperson, the fun packed Annual Academic Fest was instrumental in exploring the hidden potential of the students and constructively channelizing their pent up energy.
