Workshop on “Art of Assertive Communication” Organized at IMS Ghaziabad

IMS Ghaziabad organized a Workshop on “Art of Assertive Communication” on April 01, 2022. The initiative was envisioned to enable the learners to speak smoothly, clearly and confidently, so that the thoughts and words stream together. The distinguished Expert Resource Speaker for the workshop was Mr. Rajiv Chopra, Expert Coach, Motivator & Communication Trainer, who set the ball rolling for the learners to master effective communication skills for success in their personal as well professional endeavors. Welcoming the expert speaker, Dr. Urvashi Makkar applauded his remarkable way of coaching and mentoring the young professionals. In her Inaugural Address, she explained the difference between ‘Survival Competencies” & ‘Desirable Competencies” and highlighted the essential role of communication in the future journey of the budding professionals. Using corporate examples and real life success stories, she inspired the learners to develop the ‘Power of Anticipation’ in their minds as to what they will learn during the session and how they will benefit from the discussion.

Mr. Rajiv Chopra, in his unique style, guided the inquisitive students on the crucial aspects of opening, building and concluding a conversation in an impactful manner. Pertinent aspects of active listening, public speaking, spoken and unspoken language were discussed by him in the action packed workshop. Over 325 enthusiastic students hailing from different institutes benefitted from the session and posed a volley of questions to the speaker. Anchored by Sarthak Garg & Aditi Prajapati and coordinated by Prof. Anindita and Prof. Sangeeta Magan, the workshop enabled the participants to imbibe skills required to articulate and effectively communicate with a diverse audience.
