IMS Ghaziabad Organized Workshop on “Dining Etiquette”

IMS Ghaziabad organized a one of its kind Workshop on “Dining Etiquette” for PGDM Batch 2022-24 from August 3-5, 2022. Conceptualized under the leadership of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad, the unique session was delivered by Resource Person, Prof. Sangeeta Gadhok Magan. Speaking on the significance of inculcating good table manners, Dr. Urvashi Makkar highlighted that “The way you act & behave while dining can give others insight into your personality and level of professionalism”. She added that since professional dining contexts are more formal than eating a meal with friends, an individual can demonstrate social skills by following etiquette guidelines. The session was graced by the presence of Mr. Tarun Sharma, Lead- Institution, Growth@ OneBanc who shared personal anecdotes with the learners to emphasize how lucrative deals can be closed over the dining table. According to him, “Being sensitive to small things can take you to unimaginable opportunities”.

The workshop sensitized the young minds to the importance of proper dining etiquette and the profound impact it can have on one’s career. The budding business leaders were introduced to table setting and the correct usage of every piece of cutlery on the table in the fun filled & interactive workshop conducted in the cafeteria of the institute.
