Traditional “Lohri & Makar Sankranti Celebrations” at IMS Ghaziabad

IMS Ghaziabad under the leadership of Director, Dr. Urvashi Makkar enthusiastically celebrated “Lohri & Makar Sankranti” on January 13, 2023 at the campus in keeping with its tradition of upholding & spreading the rich Indian cultural heritage.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Urvashi Makkar wished the students, faculty & staff team of IMS Ghaziabad an year full of optimism, hope & bright opportunities and inspired everyone to celebrate the festival with synergy, hope & passion.

Encouraging everyone to take pride in the rich cultural heritage, she emphasized that festivals such as these are instrumental in enhancing the spirit of kinship. Invoking the celestial blessings for the institute, Dr. Urvashi Makkar initiated the pious “Agni Prajwalan” in a resplendent ambience brimming with vibrancy and positivity.

The momentum picked up with everyone dancing on the traditional beats of the “dhol” in the high octane celebrations.
