Grand Inauguration of “Khelo IMS”- Mega Annual Sports Meet 2023 at IMS Ghaziabad

We are exuberant to share that IMS Ghaziabad organized “Khelo IMS”, its grand Annual Sports Meet 2023 on January 18-19, 2023. Commencing with lots of fanfare, glitter and enthusiasm, the mega 2 days sporting extravaganza was graced by the august presence of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad and Distinguished Guest of Honour, Mr. Puneet Kad, Project Manager, Vigyan Prasar & Founder, MyySports; Mr. Paritosh Sharma, Entrepreneur & TV Show Host and the Indian Tennis sensation, Mr. Rushil Khosla, winner of first Gold Medal for India in Junior Davis Cup. In her Inaugural Address, Dr. Urvashi Makkar highlighted that power packed competition was envisioned in line with the goals of the national campaign of “Fit Indian Movement”. She inspired the learners to make sports an integral part of their lives and exhibit utmost sportsman spirit during the various competitions. Appreciating the energy flowing across the campus, she emphasized that “Khelo IMS ” will etch memories of a lifetime for one and all.

The grand event was supported by Corporate Sponsors MyySports, Barbeque Nation, Quick Eat, Professional Zone, The Beer Café, Hide Out Café & Grill and many more. The action packed sports meet was flagged off by Dr. Urvashi Makkar amidst thumping applause & energy from one & all. The enthusiastic youngsters gave each other neck to neck competition in the League Matches, Quarterfinals, and Semi-Finals of Gully Cricket, Kho-Kho & Tug of War. Fun filled competitions including Leg Breaker, Sack Race, Lemon Spoon Race and many others were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The faculty & staff team of IMS Ghaziabad also participated enthusiastically in especially curated competitions.

Coordinated by Dr. Radhika Malhotra, Dr. Sushant Vishnoi & Dr. Gaurav Saxena, the high octane “Khelo IMS” was instrumental in inculcating in the budding managers the enriching values of trust, team spirit, self-discipline and self-sacrifice in order to achieve team goals.
