IMS Ghaziabad Organized “31st Annual Book Exhibition”

We are delighted to share that IMS Ghaziabad organized the “31st Annual Book Exhibition” on campus under the mentorship of Director, Dr. Urvashi Makkar on January 21, 2023. The exhibition was conceptualized by the Library team of the institute in order to strengthen the reading habits in the budding professionals. In her Inaugural Address, Dr. Urvashi emphasized the importance of reading as a means for activating the mind and enhancing the creative ability. She inspired the young minds to make good books as their companions for life in order to improve their perspectives towards life. The daylong event witnessed an exhibition of books from over 25 renowned publication houses like Wiley, Pearson, Himalaya, Taxman, PHI, Bharti and many more wherein they displayed their latest book titles.

The students, faculty & staff eagerly visited the artistically set stalls by the publishers and went through the wide variety of books comprising text and reference management books, monographs, classics, fiction, motivational books and others. The momentum further picked up in the felicitation ceremony wherein the winners of “Read Aloud”, the interactive activity held on January 17, 2023 for strengthening the cognition & attention span of the budding professionals were honoured. Adding on, “Best Display of Books Award” and “Best Collection of Books Award” were awarded to the publishers for their creativity and collection of books. Coordinated by Dr. Rudresh Pandey, Dr. Pushpender Kumar & Ms. Lalita Tyagi, the unique event was instrumental in enriching the robust library of the institute and stimulated in the visitors an interest for reading.
