We are elated to share that IMS Ghaziabad organized an Expert Talk Series on the pertinent topic of “Exploring the Domain of Insurance” for PGDM learners on January 17, 2023. The session was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad and Distinguished Expert Speaker, Dr. Manoj Kumar Pandey, Associate Professor, Marketing & Insurance, Chairperson- Centre for MDP & Consultancy, BIMTECH. Delivering the Inaugural address, Dr. Urvashi Makkar emphasized the dual relevance of the session in terms of generating understanding about the insurance sector as well as sensitization of the budding professionals towards placement prospects therein. Sharing facts & figures, she highlighted that the Insurance sector in India has one of the biggest unserved markets and thus offers a huge growth potential.
The expert, Dr. Manoj Pandey shared many relevant insights on vital aspects of business risk management, insurance as a tool for risk mitigation and gave a bird’s eye view of the Indian Insurance industry. Using many corporate examples and anecdotes, he sensitized the interactive audience towards the changing industry profile due to technical disruption, career opportunities, professional courses and many more. Compered by Akanksha Singh & Faizan Ansari and coordinated by Dr Ajay kumar Patel & Dr Laxmi Pandey, the session offered a conversational platform where contemporary trends and shifting landscapes in the insurance sectors across the globe were discussed.
