We are pleased to share that IMS Ghaziabad organized a vital “Panel Discussion on Union Budget 2023-Post Budget Analysis” for PGDM students on February 07, 2023. The session witnessed deliberations by expert panellists Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad; Mr. Vijay Balwani, Senior Cluster Training Manager, PNB MetLife India Ins. and Dr. Ajit Gupta, Sales Excellence Leader, APAC, Autodesk. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, advised the budding managers to analyse the budget on critical parameters such as the extent to which the budget was visionary & futuristic, its inclusiveness, contribution to strengthening social equilibrium and adequacy of sectoral allocations. She highlighted the difference between the perspective of an economist and a management professional in analysing the budget.
The expert panelists shared their insights on the cascading effects of the announcements on different sectors across the economy. Deliberations on the implications of the budget on diverse areas of the BFSI sector such as improved governance, investor protection, financial support for digital payments, introduction to Mahila Samman Bachat Patra, benefits for senior citizens and others were done. The momentum further picked up in the student-led panel discussion in which the finance whizkids of IMS Ghaziabad, Manish Kumar Singh, Tarun Kumar, Riddhima Jain, Mohhammed Shahnawaz and Piyush Raj shared their perspectives. The winners of various competitions were awarded in the felicitation ceremony. Coordinated by Dr Ajay kumar Patel & Dr Laxmi Pandey Pandey and compered by Tanya Khanduli & Faizan Ansari, the interactive session was instrumental in enhancing the comprehension of the learners on the impact & implications of #unionbudget2023 on various economic indicators.
