Online Mock Interviews Organized by Senior Alumni & Industry Experts for MCA Students, July 25, 2020
IMS Ghaziabad organized Online Mock Interview Session for MCA (2018-21) & (2019-21) Students. The Mock Interviews were conducted by Senior Alumnus and Industry Experts in four batches. The Mock Interviews were conducted by Md. Adnan (Amazon), MCA (2007-10), Ms. Reetika Mathur (Fiserv, Gurgaon) & Mr. Paras (Wipro, India), (MCA 2009-12) and Mr. Akhil Kaliyar (Scheppend Technology) MCA (2015-17). Students were interviewed one by one by the Alumni’s and were given useful tips on how to face online interviews; how to overcome their fear and improve upon their technical & interpersonal skill sets. Students enthusiastically participated in the discussions and learnt a lot.

IMS Ghaziabad organised a yet another informative and prudent Alumni Talk Series with Alumnus “Punit Mehrotra’ Senior VP – HSBC Bank.
Mr Mehrotra is alumnus of 1992-1994 PGDBM batch and was exhilarated to visit the campus after a long time. After a discussion with Prof Alok Pandey, Director – IMS Ghaziabad, Prof Tapan Kumar Nayak, Dean – Academies, Prof Anita Singh, Area Chair – HR and Alumni Relations, the session started with all the faculty members and students in the auditorium.
Prof Alok Pandey opened the session and talked about how important it is to connect with Alumni and keep them close to Alma Mater.
Mr Punit Mehrotra talked about the importance of patience and persistence. As per him, Failure is not the end, it’s the beginning of something extraordinary.
He also talked about experiential learning and how it’s important to grow.
Dr Tapan Kumar Nayak extended vote of thanks.

Alumni are one of the strongest pillars of IMS Ghaziabad. Creating an engaged, supportive alumni network is important to an institution’s success and for this IMS keep its alumni informed about the progress of the institute. With the objective to promote and foster mutually beneficial interaction between the Alumni, faculty and the present students of the IMS, under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Alok Pandey, Director IMS Ghaziabad an alumni interaction for the formation of IMS Ghaziabad Alumni Association (IMSGAA) was organized on 31st August 2019, Saturday. The event was blessed with the presence of senior alumnus of PGDM & MCA course, who are holding top positions in various MNC’s in India & Abroad.
After the warm & hearty welcome by Prof. Alok Pandey, the alumni were introduced to the Memorandum of Association (MoA) & Bye Laws of IMSGAA by Dr. Anita Singh, Associate Dean –Alumni in the presence of Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Dean-Academics, Dr Sachin Malhotra, Dean Academics – MCA, Mr. S.P Singh, Registrar IMS Ghaziabad, Deans of other dept. and members of alumni office.
The Alumnus were happy for this great initiative and congratulated IMS for this legacy and showed their commitment for active involvement for further developments in future making the bond even more strong.

IMS Ghaziabad is putting constant efforts in enriching the students with knowledge and experience. Taking the legacy forward, IMS Ghaziabad invited its prestigious and esteemed alumni in subsequent series of Alumni Talk Series. Dr. Alok Pandey, Director-IMS Ghaziabad and Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Dean Academics, Dr. Anita Singh, Assoc. Dean-Alumni Affairs along with all the faculty members and current batch students welcomed the Alumni at their second home.
The first speaker Mr. Abhinav Gaur, Senior Manager-HR, Zenatix Solutions highlighted on corporate expectations from the young managers and talked about how consistency and perseverance plays important role to sustain in the corporate world. The next speaker Ms. Shruti Raina, GM-Marketing, Neelkanth Town Planner Pvt. Ltd gave the students how business/corporate communication and personality grooming plays vital role in the corporate as different corporate use different business languages and he has also emphasized that it is necessary for the employee to understand and practice the acronyms of different corporate concepts. The Alumni went into the lanes of past memories at campus and shared that how exciting it is to come back to the alma-mater while addressing the students. The alumni were honored with a memento as a token of gratitude by the Director and Dean-Academics respectively.
