To kick start the journey of newly admitted PGDM, Batch 2021-23 students to the corporate world, IMS Ghaziabad, a premier institute in the domain of Management Education, is organizing a Pre-Orientation Program on “Treading the Road to Managerial Excellence” on Thursday, July 22, 2021 under the dynamic leadership of Prof.(Dr.) Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad.
The program is envisioned to assist students in their transition to a new educational experience. It focuses on developing professional and premier skills in conjunction with industry expectations.

IMS Ghaziabad organized Grand 23rd Orientation Programme on a very pertinent theme “CORPORATE EXPECTATIONS FROM SOFTWARE PROFESSIONALS” for its MCA (2019-22) & MCA Lateral Entry (2019-21) batches on August 20, 2019 which was inaugurated by Chief Guest – Ms. Shelly Thakral, Head of Policy Programs,(India, South and Central Asia), Facebook, Keynote Speaker & Distinguished Alumnus of IMS Ghaziabad – Mr Vikas Phogat, Director Global R&D, IDEMIA, Distinguished Guest – Mr Amit Nevatia, Educate Program Lead at Amazon Internet Services Pvt Ltd. (AWS), Senior Distinguished Alumnus of IMS Ghaziabad – Mr Rajeev Singhania MD & CEO, ARR Services Pvt. Ltd & Mr Gaurav Abrol, Chief Executive Officer, Cogent E Services, in the august presence of Honorable Managing Trustee IMS Ghaziabad – Dr Pramod Agarwal ji, Prof. Alok Pandey, Director IMS Ghaziabad, Dr Tapan Nayak Dean PGDM and Dr Sachin Malhotra, Dean MCA, faculty, staff members and students.
Dr. Pandey welcomed all the guests during his welcome address. Ms Shelley addressed the new entrants and apprised them about the social issues undertaken by Facebook. She urged students to be proactive and learn new technologies. Mr Phogat addressed the students in his eloquent style and urged the students to be patient, self asses themselves, focus on their core areas and stick to the basics. Mr. Amit Nevatia encouraged the students to follow AMAZON leadership principles. Distinguished Alumnus Mr Rajeev Singhania and Mr Gaurav Abrol interacted with the students and shared their experiences. Students of MCA Social Media Smart Team were felicitated along with Ms Tanvi the University Topper from MCA. Post Lunch Ice breaking Games were conducted for all students where they learned how to communicate in groups, Team dynamics, role of communication etc

Prof. Khandal, candidly expressed and asked the students to follows our traditions – Sanskar, respect & understand the Great Indian culture, the wisdom India had and try to follow the values that our forefathers have passed on to us. Industry Experts apprised the budding technocrats with their experiences, Future technological trends like BlockChain etc, opportunities, hurdles and how to overcome them.
Moreover, It was the perfect occasion to felicitate the Meritorious MCA Students who have showcased exemplary performances in University Examinations. The following students of MCA & MCA-LE were awarded cash prizes – Keerti Shrivastava (2014-17), Vinayak Singh (L.E 2015-17), Ankit Gupta (L.E 2015-17), Preeti Gupta (2015-18), Abhishek Singh (2015-18), Shubham Gupta (L.E 2016-18), Apoorva Srivastava (2016-19) and Bharti Goyal (2016-19). An Outbound activity was also performed with the new entrants to instill & develop self-confidence, Communication, Team work and leadership skills amongst them. All the students enjoyed the days proceeding which was full of learning & fun-filled activities.

IMS Ghaziabad is organizing an intensive ORIENTATION PROGRAMME for MCA Batch (2018-21) & Lateral Entry: Batch (2018-2020) on Monday, August 20, 2018. MCA Programme is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Dr. A.P.J.A.K.T.U, Lucknow. The purpose of this program is to acquaint the budding technocrats with the Institute, its infrastructure, facilities & resources, faculty, staff & administration. The Students will get an insight in to IMS culture and philosophy apart from being introduced to the academic rigor of the course.

Day 1 of PGDM Induction Programme 2018, July 8, 2018
The three days Induction Programme of the 29th of PGDM Batch 2018-20, started with the process of registration of PGDM students. The first session witnessed the inaugural session by Dean Academics- Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, in the presence of all Area Chairpersons- HR, Finance, IB, Operations, Marketing, PPSP; CRC Head Mr. Rohit Sehgal, & Admission Head Mr. Komal Budhraja , HOD-MCA, Dr. Avadhesh Gupta, besides faculty members and budding IMSians. The proud parents were engaged through live-streaming too. Dr. Nayak gave a course overview to the new students and also made them familiar with the ethos and discipline of IMS. All Area Chairpersons & CRC made a brief presentation. The first session came to an end with the “Vote of Thanks’ offered by Dr. Mayank Kumar.
The Post- Lunch second Session was scheduled for Director’s interaction with the Parents. Hon’ble Director, IMS Ghaziabad Prof. Ajay K. Jain, delivered his speech to parents, from Denmark via skype. He thanked parents for reposing faith in IMS and getting their wards admitted in PGDM programme. Dean Academics- Dr. Nayak, gave a briefings to parents about the contribution of IMS in their ward’s future growth and progress. Later on “Question-Answer” session held where issues were raised by parents too. At the end of Session-II, Dr. Sunayana Jain, offered Vote of Thanks.
Day-2 & Day-3 of the Induction Programme is going to witness 10-15 highly acclaimed corporate leaders & academicians , who will bless the new batch PGDM students with their enriched knowledge & Learning.

In the gracious presence of Shri. Pramod Agarwal, Managing Trustee, IMS Ghaziabad & Sh Rakesh Chharia, General Secretary, IMS Society, Prof. J. P Sharma, Director IMS Ghaziabad welcomed the Chief Guest – Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Khandal, President R&D and Business Development India Glycols Limited, Delhi (Former Vice Chancellor- Dr. A.P.J.A.K.T.U Lucknow), Keynote speaker – Dr. V. P. Prof. Khandal urged the budding technocrats to remain simple and excel in life. Dr V. P. Singh highlighted the importance of asking active questions in life while remaining focused on one’s objectives & goals. Dr Ajay Gupta apprised the audience highlighting the latest technological trends in the I.T industry, their demands and upwards trends in I.T Recruitments. Senior Alumnus – Mr Lalit shared his experience and corporate expectations with the newly admitted batch. Dr. Avadhesh Kumar Gupta, Head MCA proposed the vote of thanks. More than 350 students including Parents and Faculty and Staff Members of the Institute attended the event. It was a profound learning experience for the students.

The main objective of this programme was to sensitize the young budding technocrats with the pragmatic experiences of the corporate world and its expectations from them in the challenging and changing Global scenario.
In the gracious presence of Shri. Pramod Agarwal ji, Managing Trustee, IMS Ghaziabad, Prof. J.P Sharma, Director IMS Ghaziabad welcomed the Chief Guest – Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Khandal, President R&D and Business Development India Glycols Limited, Delhi (Former Vice Chancellor- Dr. A.P.J.A.K.T.U Lucknow) and other renowned dignitaries from corporate World. The eminent dignitaries of the day were Mr. Ashish Sharma, Memory Guru and Guinness World Record Holder, Mr. Rajeev Singhania (Alumnus IMS, Batch-1995) Program Manager – Orane Consulting pvt.
