Inspired by the zeal to impart an in depth understanding to management professionals on the latest developments in the area of marketing analytics, IMS Ghaziabad, a front runner in the pursuit of reinvention of Management Education, organized a Management Development Programme on “Marketing Analytics for Decision Making” on September 11, 2021. The MDP was yet another brainchild of the visionary guidance of Mr. Naresh Agarwal, Chairman; Mr. Nitin Agarwal, Management Trustee and the academic acumen of Director, Dr. Urvashi Makkar.
In her Inaugural Address, Dr. Makkar Analytics stressed on the immense role of marketing analytics in clarifying the bigger picture as well as in digging down into more granular marketing trends. Citing numerous examples from diverse sectors like FMCG, Retail, Aviation, Hospitality etc., she highlighted the importance of marketing analytics in providing insights into customer behavior and preferences.
The MDP was graced by the intellectual deliberations of the Expert Resource Speakers – Mr. Prashant Rathore, Sr. Zonal Manager- Middle East & Nepal, Oxford University Press and Mr. Gaurav Sethi, Project manager, Spicejet Airlines who took rigorous practical sessions on various analytics tools and their application in the marketing function. Hands-on training was given to the delegates on modelling, basic statistics and popular predictive techniques to get actionable marketing insights.
The MDP facilitated the creation of an interactive platform for corporate executives, academicians & research scholars from reputed organizations such as KPMG, Larsen and Toubro, Barclays, Ghaziabad Precision Products, Bennett University, just to name a few.

IMS Ghaziabad organized Online Mock Interview Session for MCA (2018-21) & (2019-21) Students. The Mock Interviews were conducted by Senior Alumnus and Industry Experts in four batches. The Mock Interviews were conducted by Manish Saraswat (Adobe), MCA (2007-10), Mr. Gaurav Rajput (SEW) (2010-13) & Mr. Brajendra Pandey (ASK-FAST), (MCA 2009-12) and Mr. Akhil Kulshrestha (TCS-Poland) MCA (2008-11). Students were interviewed one by one by the Alumni’s and were given useful tips on how to face online interviews; how to overcome their fear and improve upon their technical & interpersonal skill sets. Students enthusiastically participated in the discussions and learnt a lot.

Amidst the lock-down, 13th Faculty Council Meeting of this academic year at IMS Ghaziabad was held today via video conferencing on Saturday, April 18, 2020. The meeting was chaired by DrAlok P, Director, IMS Ghaziabad and attended by all faculty members. We all took stock of online sessions, examinations and webinars being conducted for the postgraduate programmes (PGDM & MCA) since lockdown. We also resolved to continue the teaching learning process smoothly and launch online programmes and conferences. All guidelines from AICTE/AIU and other regulatory bodies will be followed with examinations at the doorstep of the students so that their internships and career prospects are not adversely affected. All collectively resolved to continue our services to the society & nation at large.
