IMS Ghaziabad organized Hyderabad Chapter Alumni Meet
IMS Ghaziabad organized its first ever Hyderabad Chapter Alumni Meet on December 16, 2016 at Aditya Park – A Sarovar Portico Hotel, Ameerpet, Hyderabad Following the vision laid by our Director, Prof. J.P Sharma, IMS Ghaziabad Alumni Committee plans to engage alumni in several activities throughout the year & connect with the growing alumni base. The chapter body plans to have numerous meets in various cities which would include batch meets, informal interactions etc. to foster the alumni connect. Hyderabad Chapter Meet was our small step to connect the Alumnus working there. With your support, we plan to conduct many more such successful events in the near future.
Smile International Film Festival for Children and Youth
IMS Ghaziabad partnered with Business World for International Mega Film Festival – SIFFCY 2016 (Smile International Film Festival for Children and Youth) held at Sirifort Auditorium Complex, New Delhi, December 5-11, 2016. IMSGhaziabad is pleased to be the Education partner for Week long Biggest Celebration of Good Cinema, SIFFCY-2016, organized by Smile Foundation, to raise awareness of Good World Cinema among Children and Youth. Film academy of Germany, UK, Denmark, Brazil & more participated in this Mega Event besides renowned Film Directors & Critics – Mr. Jahnu Barua, Mr. Tigmanshu Dhulia, Mr. Nagesh Kuknoor & others. The event showcased feature films to short films, Animation to Students’ films, Workshops to Live forums and was attended by almost 15000 + Students / Youth where 100+ Films were screened from 25+ Countries. PGDM Students of IMS Ghaziabad participated whole heartedly in this social event; interacted with celebrities from across the Globe & learnt about diverse culture & customs of different countries.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON “TRENDS & FUTURE PROSPECTS OF HR” SATURDAY, DECEMBER 03, 2016 In our constant endeavor to achieve Academic Excellence, HR Department of IMSGhaziabad under the stewardship of Prof. J.P. Sharma Director IMS Ghaziabad, organized “Panel Discussion on TRENDS & FUTURE PROSPECTS OF HR” for PGDM Students on Saturday, December 03, 2016. The mega event witnessed the presence of HR Stalwarts – Dr. Debi Singh Saini, Ex Professor, MDI, Gurgaon, Mr. Anupam Malik, Additional Labour Commissioner, Chandigarh Haryana, Mr. Avinash Chandra Joshi, Director (HR) UJVN Ltd. and Dr. Nanditesh Nilay, Chairman, ISTD Delhi Chapter. Prof. J. P. Sharma welcomed Guest for the day. Dr. Saini shared his thoughts about changing dynamics of HR, emerging debate on abolishing HR department and requirement of HR Skills among all other functional domains. The audience felt enriched with the deliberation by Mr. Anupam Malik on the theme of Social Dialogue: The ultimate HR Technology. He also discussed his experiments on social dialogue in different companies. Mr. Avinash Chandra Joshi and Dr. Nanditesh Nilay shared the current HR practices in government and private organizations. The expert speakers, post the presentation session, answered the questions raised by the students. The session was moderated by Dr. Saini. The students were quite involved and enthusiastic while asking questions from the experts. It was an enriching experience for the audience and the session concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak Program Chairperson (PGDM). The conveners of the event Dr. Lata Bajpai Singh, Area Chairperson HR & Dr. Anjali Rai vowed to organize such events in future, after witnessing the overwhelming response of the students.

27th PGDM Induction Programme at IMS Ghaziabad – Day I & II
IMS Ghaziabad organized PGDM (AICTE Approved, NBA Accredited and Equiv. to MBA by AIU) Induction Programme during July 20-22, 2016 on the occasion of commencement of its 27th batch. The Induction programme revolved around the theme: “Corporate Expectations from Young Managers”. The main objective of this programme is to sensitize the young budding managers with the pragmatic experiences of the corporate world and its expectations from them in the challenging and changing Global scenario.
Sh. Pramod Agarwal CMD, Rama Paper Mills Ltd. & Managing Trustee, IMS Ghaziabad, & Prof J. P. Sharma, Director- IMS Ghaziabad, welcomed the Guests of the day and the new entrants along with their Parents. Sh. Anup Mudgal, IFS Former Indian High Commissioner to Mauritius was the Chief Guest for the day. Mr. Pankaj KP Shreyaskar, IAS Director Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, Government of India, Mr. Subhash Jagota – Managing Director, JABRO Advertising and Marketing Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Sidharth Mishra Consulting Editor- The Millennium Post, Formerly Associate Editor – The Pioneer, Mr. Raj K Nehru Director – Global Leadership Development Concentrix, Gurgaon, Dr. K K Upadhyay Head-Corporate Social Responsibility, FICCI graced the occasion & interacted with the budding managers during the Pre-lunch session on July 21, 2016.
Industry Stalwarts, Mr. Sushant Dubey – DGM-Alliance, IBM India Pvt. Ltd, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Mittal – Professor & Dean, School of Management GGSIP University, New Delhi and Mr. Mukesh Goswami – CEO & MD, Jeevom.com interacted with the students during the post lunch session on July 21, 2016.
Renowned Speakers threw light on the brief role of budding managers in current scenario and what should be their roadmap to success. More than 400 students including Faculty and Staff Members of the Institute attended the event. Towards the end, Business Management Games were organized for the new batch so that they get induced to the culture of the institute and improve their decision making and analytical skills, develop their ability to function co-operatively and effectively in situations, create experiential learning environment and focus on leadership competencies.
The Students were introduced to the academic rules and regulations, examination & grading system, different specializations, co-curricular & extracurricular activities by Dr. Tapan kumar Nayak, Chairperson PGDM, Controller of Examinations and all the Area chairpersons on July 20, 2016. A dedicated interactive session was also conducted by Prof. J. P. Sharma, Director IMS Ghaziabad with around 100 Parents of students to apprise them more about the Institute.
On behalf of the entire IMS Fraternity, Prof. J. P. Sharma Director – IMS Ghaziabad expressed gratitude towards all Distinguished Guests, Dignified Academicians for their valuable contribution during Induction Programme 2016.

A Panel Discussion on the topic “Skill Development: The way to Market-Ready Students” was organized at Himachal Bhawan, New Delhi by The Education Post for “the Educators’ Dialogue Episode-1”. Eminent Academicians from Top B School & Universities were invited to discuss the role of skill development in preparing the students for the market. Skills and knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development of any country. Countries with higher and better levels of skills adjust more effectively to the challenges and opportunities of globalization.
