27th PGDM Induction Programme at IMS Ghaziabad – Day I & II
IMS Ghaziabad organized PGDM (AICTE Approved, NBA Accredited and Equiv. to MBA by AIU) Induction Programme during July 20-22, 2016 on the occasion of commencement of its 27th batch. The Induction programme revolved around the theme: “Corporate Expectations from Young Managers”. The main objective of this programme is to sensitize the young budding managers with the pragmatic experiences of the corporate world and its expectations from them in the challenging and changing Global scenario.
Sh. Pramod Agarwal CMD, Rama Paper Mills Ltd. & Managing Trustee, IMS Ghaziabad, & Prof J. P. Sharma, Director- IMS Ghaziabad, welcomed the Guests of the day and the new entrants along with their Parents. Sh. Anup Mudgal, IFS Former Indian High Commissioner to Mauritius was the Chief Guest for the day. Mr. Pankaj KP Shreyaskar, IAS Director Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, Government of India, Mr. Subhash Jagota – Managing Director, JABRO Advertising and Marketing Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Sidharth Mishra Consulting Editor- The Millennium Post, Formerly Associate Editor – The Pioneer, Mr. Raj K Nehru Director – Global Leadership Development Concentrix, Gurgaon, Dr. K K Upadhyay Head-Corporate Social Responsibility, FICCI graced the occasion & interacted with the budding managers during the Pre-lunch session on July 21, 2016.
Industry Stalwarts, Mr. Sushant Dubey – DGM-Alliance, IBM India Pvt. Ltd, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Mittal – Professor & Dean, School of Management GGSIP University, New Delhi and Mr. Mukesh Goswami – CEO & MD, Jeevom.com interacted with the students during the post lunch session on July 21, 2016.
Renowned Speakers threw light on the brief role of budding managers in current scenario and what should be their roadmap to success. More than 400 students including Faculty and Staff Members of the Institute attended the event. Towards the end, Business Management Games were organized for the new batch so that they get induced to the culture of the institute and improve their decision making and analytical skills, develop their ability to function co-operatively and effectively in situations, create experiential learning environment and focus on leadership competencies.
The Students were introduced to the academic rules and regulations, examination & grading system, different specializations, co-curricular & extracurricular activities by Dr. Tapan kumar Nayak, Chairperson PGDM, Controller of Examinations and all the Area chairpersons on July 20, 2016. A dedicated interactive session was also conducted by Prof. J. P. Sharma, Director IMS Ghaziabad with around 100 Parents of students to apprise them more about the Institute.
