IMS Ghaziabad organized Hyderabad Chapter Alumni Meet
IMS Ghaziabad organized its first ever Hyderabad Chapter Alumni Meet on December 16, 2016 at Aditya Park – A Sarovar Portico Hotel, Ameerpet, Hyderabad Following the vision laid by our Director, Prof. J.P Sharma, IMS Ghaziabad Alumni Committee plans to engage alumni in several activities throughout the year & connect with the growing alumni base. The chapter body plans to have numerous meets in various cities which would include batch meets, informal interactions etc. to foster the alumni connect. Hyderabad Chapter Meet was our small step to connect the Alumnus working there. With your support, we plan to conduct many more such successful events in the near future.

IMS Ghaziabad organized its first ever Lucknow Chapter, Alumni Meet 2016, on November 19, 2016 at Hotel La Place Sarovar Portico Lucknow. The Alumni were mesmerized to know about the latest developments at IMS Ghaziabad. The Alumni Committee plans to foster alumni connect under the stewardship of Prof J.P Sharma, Director IMS Ghaziabad. It plans to engage alumni in several activities throughout the year which would include batch meets, informal interactions etc.
Lucknow Chapter Meet was a small step to connect with the Alumnus working there. IMS Ghaziabad plans to conduct many more such successful events in the near future.

First Steps: The PGDM Tour – A Two Day Student Development Workshop at IMS Ghaziabad
IMS Ghaziabad, under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prof J.P Sharma, Director IMS Ghaziabad, organized a Two Day Student Development Workshop – First Steps: The PGDM Tour by Global Human Resource Development Centre (GHRDC) for PGDM students on August 16 &17, 2016.
The first day began with the welcome of the facilitator – Ms. Mekhla Sinha, Executive Director, GHRDC & her team of GHRDC along with motivational address by the Prof. J. P. Sharma, Director IMS Ghaziabad. During his address, he shared the importance of the first few steps in life and the way it contributes in achieving the goals for the students. The workshop was organized to apprise them about corporate culture and how they can further maximize their education experience by assessing their strengths & weakness. A detailed guidance was also given with regard to the career scope and opportunities apart from other modules.
The second day of the workshop included icebreaking exercise where PGDM students presented their ideas and actively participated in the different activities planned in the workshop. The students were immensely benefited with the exhaustive discussion as they raised various queries during the session. The session turned out to be very enriching for the PGDM students. The workshop concluded with the valedictory session where students were felicitated with the certificates of participation. They expressed their gratitude towards the institute for organizing such innovative workshop. The faculty conveners Dr S K Dube and Ms. Surabhi Singh expressed vote of thanks to Management and Director for their immeasurable support during the conduct of the workshop in making it a grand success.

27th PGDM Induction Programme at IMS Ghaziabad – Day I & II
IMS Ghaziabad organized PGDM (AICTE Approved, NBA Accredited and Equiv. to MBA by AIU) Induction Programme during July 20-22, 2016 on the occasion of commencement of its 27th batch. The Induction programme revolved around the theme: “Corporate Expectations from Young Managers”. The main objective of this programme is to sensitize the young budding managers with the pragmatic experiences of the corporate world and its expectations from them in the challenging and changing Global scenario.
Sh. Pramod Agarwal CMD, Rama Paper Mills Ltd. & Managing Trustee, IMS Ghaziabad, & Prof J. P. Sharma, Director- IMS Ghaziabad, welcomed the Guests of the day and the new entrants along with their Parents. Sh. Anup Mudgal, IFS Former Indian High Commissioner to Mauritius was the Chief Guest for the day. Mr. Pankaj KP Shreyaskar, IAS Director Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, Government of India, Mr. Subhash Jagota – Managing Director, JABRO Advertising and Marketing Pvt. Renowned Speakers threw light on the brief role of budding managers in current scenario and what should be their roadmap to success. More than 400 students including Faculty and Staff Members of the Institute attended the event. Towards the end, Business Management Games were organized for the new batch so that they get induced to the culture of the institute and improve their decision making and analytical skills, develop their ability to function co-operatively and effectively in situations, create experiential learning environment and focus on leadership competencies.
The Students were introduced to the academic rules and regulations, examination & grading system, different specializations, co-curricular & extracurricular activities by Dr. Tapan kumar Nayak, Chairperson PGDM, Controller of Examinations and all the Area chairpersons on July 20, 2016. A dedicated interactive session was also conducted by Prof. J. P. Sharma, Director IMS Ghaziabad with around 100 Parents of students to apprise them more about the Institute.
