IMS Ghaziabad Organizes “Placement Readiness Enhancement Program” (PREP) for PGDM Batch 2022-24
IMS Ghaziabad, an institute known for its perpetual endeavors towards making its students corporate ready, is excited to announce the 12 Hours Short Term Training Program (STTP) on “Placement Readiness Enhancement Program” (PREP) for PGDM Batch 2022-24 on September 14, 19, 21 & 23, 2022. The initiative, conceptualized under the leadership of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad, endeavors to enhance the self-belief, ability & skills of the students to ace the selection process. The sessions, to be conducted by the experienced team of Transform Mentors from “The Winning Mantra”- Dr Pramod Joshi, Co-Founder & Director & Aman Bedi , Leadership Coach & Corporate Leaders, would help in identifying and developing the required set of competencies in the students for enhancement of employability quotient.
“First Steps” – Two Days Certification Programme by GHRDC
IMS Ghaziabad organized “Two Days Certification Programme: First Steps” by GHRDC on August 23 & 24, 2018, for its PGDM I Year students. During the inaugural address, Prof. Ajay K. Jain, Director IMS Ghaziabad, Ms. Mekhla Sinha, Executive Director, GHRDC, Ms. Neha Kapodor, Manager GHRDC, Dean- Academics, Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, faculty and budding PGDM First Year students were present. In his address Prof. Jain highlighted the importance of “Goal Setting” in one’s life. He elaborated it by naming 3 Ms- Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Dasarath Manjhi. The common linkages among three was their determination to achieve “Invincible goals”. On both days, Ms. Mekhla Sinha and Ms. Neha had engaged budding IMSians by conducting several ‘Self- Enriching ‘ activities.
At the end of the two days programme , students were awarded certificate. It was a great learning delight for PGDM I year students. Dr. S.K.Dube & Ms. Khushboo Sherwani were the coordinators for the programme.

IMS Ghaziabad, under the leadership of its Director- Dr.Tapan Kumar Nayak, firmly believes in enhancing the knowledge capital ie faculty members. Keeping this in mind, a FDP on “New Learning Engagement for New Age Learners” is being organized on December 20, 2017, from 9:30 AM till 1:00 PM. The half day intensive learning sessions will be conducted by renowned academician, Dr. Mohan Lal Agarwal, Director, Executive Education, International Horizons College , Dubai, UAE. Prof. Agarwal is a widely travelled Management Guru having enriched experiences.
Training Programme on CMIE’s Prowess
Training Programme on CMIE’s Prowess, Institute of Management Studies Ghaziabad, under the stewardship of Prof. J. P. Sharma, Director IMS Ghaziabad, organized a certification training programme on CMIE’s Prowess on September 18 and 21, 2017 for the final year students of PGDM (Batch 2016-18). The programme started with the gracious presence of Mr. Prabhakar Singh, Regional Head North and Ms. Saumya Mehrotra, Senior Business Executives of Center For Monitoring Indian Economy Pvt. Ltd. (CMIE) along with Dr. Tapan Nayak, Program Chairperson, Dr. Neeraj Sanghi, Area Chairperson-finance, Dr. Mayank Kumar, Assistant Professor Finance.
The objective of the training programme was to give the exposure and workable knowledge of ‘CMIE’s Prowess IQ’, the database of the financial performance of nearly forty thousand companies, to the students. It includes all companies listed on the National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange, thousands of unlisted public limited and private limited companies. IMS is one of the select premier B- Schools that offers unrestricted access of the database to faculty members and students for quality analysis and research. Mr. Prabhakar Singh and Ms. Saumya Mehrotra, shared with the students that Prowess is an indispensable source to extract financial information and performance of active business enterprises in India. Trainers extensively trained the students on how to extract information from the database. The Prowess database is built from annual reports, quarterly financial statements, stock exchange feeds and other reliable sources. The database is structured to enable inter-company and inter-temporal comparisons. This enhances the usefulness of the database in decision making. This data base can be used by the students in their projects, dissertations, and to update their knowledge about the Indian corporate sector to enhance the employability.
IMS Ghaziabad organized SWACCHTA PAKHWADA
To support the Clean India initiative of the Government of India, IMS Ghaziabad organized SWACCHTA PAKHWADA on 19th September, 2017 under the dynamic leadership of Prof. J. P. Sharma, Director – IMS Ghaziabad. During his address, he highlighted the importance of Swachcha Bharat Abhiyan and the contributions that needs to be made by every citizen of India to make our Country clean.
IMS Ghaziabad will also be organizing “Swachh Bharat Samridh Bharat” Abhiyaan on September 26, 2017, where a massive cleanliness drive will be undertaken by the faculty, staff and students of IMS.
SWACCHTA PAKHWADA is organized to pledge the support of the higher educational Institutions in spreading the message of cleanliness not only among the students but also in the surrounding areas. Higher Educational Institutions have a crucial role in shaping the public view about cleanliness. All the Faculty, Staff members and Students took Oath to keep the country clean and further propagate the message of cleanliness throughout the country.
