Blood Donation Camp at IMS Ghaziabad
Being a socially proactive institution, IMS Ghaziabad this year organized its Blood Donation Camp at its campus on August 13, 2018 in association with Rotary Club, Sahibabad. Various eminent members of Rotary Club marked their presence during the inaugural ceremony of the event. Mr. Subhash Jain, District Governor, Rotary Club was the Chief Guest for the day along
with Mr. Sandeep Garg, Project Chairman as a special guest. Shri Rakesh Chharia, President, Rotary Club and General Secretary, IMS society infused positivity among all present during the ribbon cutting ceremony. Prof. Ajay Kr. Jain, Director, IMS Ghaziabad welcomed all the dignitaries, appreciated the efforts of all the organizing committee members and motivated the
students for volunteering as donors in this noble cause. All the Faculty & Staff members along with PGDM and MCA students gathered to convey the message of humanity to the society by donating more than 150 units of blood. The conveners, Dr. Sunayana Jain and Dr. Anjali Rai expressed heartiest thanks to everyone who stood up in making this event a grand success.
Rotary Club saluted the spirit of IMSians and promised to come up with another such drive in near future.
“Special Seminar ” on “ Emerging Market : Are We”
“Special Seminar ” on “ Emerging Market : Are We” at IMS Ghaziabad, by Guest of Honour- Mr. Shivendra Tomar, Managing Director – IIDL, & ED – ILD, August 3, 2018.
Under the stewardship of Director IMS, Prof. Ajay K. Jain , the “Special seminar Series” was organized . The theme of the current “Special Seminar”, was “Emerging Markets: Are We”. The Special seminar was first for the current session and 25th in a row. The Managing Director of IIFCI Infrastructure Development Ltd. Mr. Shivendra Tomar was the “Guest of Honour”.
In his inaugural lecture, Prof. Ajay K.Jain, Director IMS Ghaziabad, described Mr. Tomar as great “Entrepreneur and Transformational Leader”. In his view, Mr. Tomar, being CEOs of many companies, will be an ideal role model for young managers. For being a successful transformation leader, he emphasized on three aspects- Motivation, Transformation & Change Management.
The Guest of Honour, Mr. Shivendra Tomar, highlighted the existing vast rural population in the country, which amounts to over 90 crores, and has the ‘huge market potential untapped’ so far. He quoted Noble Laureate Prof. Amartya Sen, who talked about ‘social welfare economy’. In India , state like Gujarat has shown tremendous entrepreneurial abilities because of which people in rural India are flourishing. AMUL is a classic success story in this regard. Mr. Tomar exhorted young managers to look for entrepreneurial opportunities in procurement, storage and transportation related infrastructures ie supply chain and cold supply chain management. He was of the firm opinion that if post-harvest losses could be controlled, which are presently to the tune of 40 percent, India can emerge as net exporter in agri-product business. The session was followed by ‘Question & Answer Session’.

Pre-Orientation Programme for MCA Lateral Entry 2018-20 Batch, August 1. 2018
IMS Ghaziabad organized a Pre-Orientation Programme for MCA Lateral Entry 2018-20 Batch. The Programme was inaugurated by Prof Ajay K Jain, Director IMS Ghaziabad, Dr Tapan K Nayak, Dean-Academics, and Dr Avadhesh k Gupta, Head MCA in the presence of Faculty, Staff, Students and their Proud Parents.
The aim of this Orientation Programme was to acquaint the budding Technocrats with the academic environment of the institute. Dr. Jain urged the students to be hardworking, patient and explore thyself in his own unique style by telling stories of Socrates, Raja Janak and Mahatma Buddha. Dr Nayak apprised the students about the importance of being regular and focused. Dr. Gupta, motivated the students to remain positive, humble, energetic and continuous. All the new entrants were introduced to the faculty & staff members. It was followed by an experience sharing session where students of Second and Third Year shared their experiences with the gathering. During the post lunch sessions, all the students underwent an outbound activity, where they had a lot of learning with fun

The Students, divided into groups participated enthusiastically in activity Trust Fall – Free Fall. The Students enjoyed the fun-filled energizing activities throughout the day and learned the key mantras to successfully work in a team.

Hence to inculcate Team Work, Leadership, Group Dynamics and Communication skills amongst the new admitted PGDM Batch, an extensive Outbound Programme was organized at IMS Ghaziabad. The Students, divided into groups participated enthusiastically in parallel activities namely Spider Web – Cross the web, Perfect Square – Create a perfect square whilst being blindfolded, Magic Matt – Cross from one side to another with Matt without touching the ground, Trust Fall – Free Fall and Roller Coaster – Create a platform where Ball moves from one end to another on its own without any manual intervention. Students from Two sections each were divided into four groups for activities apart from Roller Coaster which was a combined activity. The Students enjoyed the fun-filled activities throughout the day and learned the true management principles for Life.
