IMS Ghaziabad organized Online Software Testing Workshop for MCA (2018-21) & (2019-21) Students. The Workshop was conducted by Mr. Sushil Singh, Technical Lead, HCL Technologies and MCA 2008-2011 Alumnus of IMS Ghaziabad. During the workshop, sushil introduced various concepts of Testing – manual and automation among other and also demonstrated the use of selenium in testing. He took various examples and also gave students tips for cracking placement interviews. Students were very much pleased & satisfied with the practical exposure gained during the workshop.
MDP on “Finance for Non Finance Managers” @ IMS Ghaziabad, September 8, 2018
Under the patronage of Dr. Ajay K Jain, Director and Mr. Mahesh Munjal, CMD, Majestic Auto Limited, IMS Ghaziabad successfully organized a Management Development Program (MDP) on “Finance for Non Finance Managers” in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Ghaziabad Management Association (GMA). A string of reputed companies nominated about 30 executives for training, namely, Shriram Pistons Limited, International Tobacco Company, Avon Moldplast Limited, Unichem Laboratories, Uflex Limited, North Street Cooling Towers Limited, Bhagawati Steel, Delhi University and Amity University etc.
The Chief Guests of inaugural and valedictory functions included Mr. Dinesh Jain, President-Legal and Corporate Affairs, Uflex Limited and Mr. Sushil Kumar Agarwal, CMD, Avon Moldplast Limited respectively. Mr. Mahesh Munjal and Sri Vinay Gupta, Executive Director, GMA also graced the program.
In addition to Dr. Anurag Pahuja and Dr. Pankaj K Agarwal, the resource persons comprised Mr. N K Jalan and Mr. Romesh Sharma, both renowned management consultants.
Dr. Ajay K Jain welcomed delegates by highlighting with a Sanskrit verse that there is nothing in this world that cannot be made useful by a savvy person. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the conveners of the MDP, Dr. Pankaj K Agarwal, Professor and Dr. Anurag Pahuja, Associate Professor.

PGDM Fresher’s Bash at IMS Ghaziabad LAVISH SPECTACULAR AND ELECTRIFYING!! These words aren’t enough to summarize the PGDM ‘Fresher’s Party’, at IMS Ghaziabad. The senior PGDM batch 2017-2019 organized an extravagant fresher’s party on August 18, 2018. It was an ecstasy filled afternoon, where the fresher’s got an opportunity not only to showcase their talents but also to interact with their seniors. Jovial smiles and high spirits marked the welcome party for the students. The blossoming minds entered the auditorium sticking to the theme “WELKOM FEISTA”. The Royal Colors of Summer filling that sets the tone this season, full of bold vibes of black and royal touch of red. It felt like entering into another dimension utopia of wonder. Prof. Ajay K. Jain, Director, IMS Ghaziabad, heartily welcomed the PGDM batch 2018-2020 students. With pulsating ambience, flashing lights, bright colors and foot tapping music, the party began with a blast. The event was nothing short of an award night with The PGDM first year batch participating whole heartedly for the titles of Mr. and Ms. Fresher – 2018. The run for the titles was further glorified by gala song and dance performances by the seniors. Mr. Aman Kumar Jha and Ms. Kamya Chaudhary were crowned Mr. and Ms Fresher’s 2018. Mr. Abdul Basit and Ms. Pitambara Singh Parihar bagged Mr. and Ms. Popular -2018. Mr. Shivam Khanna and Ms. Khushbu Bisht nailed Mr. and Ms. Talented 2018. And Mr. Gaurav Tomar and Ms. K.M. Sudhanya bagged Mr. and Ms. Well Dressed-2018. All the Winners were felicitated by the Dean-Academics Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak along with Faculty Judges and last year’s Mr. and Ms. Fresher. IMS Ghaziabad organized a Grand 22nd Orientation Programme on a very pertinent theme “CORPORATE EXPECTATAIONS FROM YOUNG TECHNOCRATS” for its MCA (2018-21) & MCA Lateral Entry (2018-20) batches on August 20, 2018 which was inaugurated by Renowned Academic luminaries – Chief Guest – Prof Prem Vrat, Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor of Eminence and Chief Mentor, North Cap University, Gurugram, Founder Director – IIT Roorkee & Former Vice Chancellor U.P.T.U, Lucknow; Presidential Speaker – Prof R K Khandal, President R&D and Business Development, India Glycols Pvt Ltd & Former Vice Chancellor – UPTU, Lucknow; in the august presence of Industry Stalwarts – Mr. Ashish Singla, Vice President – RBS, Mr. S P S Jolly, Executive Director Indian Oil, Mr Kunal Singhal, MD- Eazy ERP, Mr Vikramjeet Singh, Director Risk Consulting – KPMG, Dr Pramod Agarwal, Managing Trustee – IMS Ghaziabad, Prof Ajay k Jain, Director – IMS Ghaziabad, Dr Tapan k Nayak – Dean Academics & Dr Avadhesh k Gupta, Head MCA, faculty & staff members and students.
Prof. vrat in his eloquent style praised the institution for its 28 years of Glorious legacy in disseminating knowledge and urged the students as well as faculty to “Involve and Inspire” and develop a co-learning environment which will help the students in facing any uncertainty that they might face in their future endeavors. Prof. Khandal, candidly expressed and asked the students to follows our traditions – Sanskar, respect & understand the Great Indian culture, the wisdom India had and try to follow the values that our forefathers have passed on to us. Industry Experts apprised the budding technocrats with their experiences, Future technological trends like BlockChain etc, opportunities, hurdles and how to overcome them.
Moreover, It was the perfect occasion to felicitate the Meritorious MCA Students who have showcased exemplary performances in University Examinations. The following students of MCA & MCA-LE were awarded cash prizes – Keerti Shrivastava (2014-17), Vinayak Singh (L.E 2015-17), Ankit Gupta (L.E 2015-17), Preeti Gupta (2015-18), Abhishek Singh (2015-18), Shubham Gupta (L.E 2016-18), Apoorva Srivastava (2016-19) and Bharti Goyal (2016-19). An Outbound activity was also performed with the new entrants to instill & develop self-confidence, Communication, Team work and leadership skills amongst them. All the students enjoyed the days proceeding which was full of learning & fun-filled activities.

IMS Ghaziabad, under the kind patronage of Prof. Ajay K Jain, Director IMS Ghaziabad, organized a Special session for MCA Students on “Current Scenario in Java & Python – Careers in I.T” delivered by Expert Team from Chetu – A US Based Software Development Company. The Esteemed Guests – Mr. Supriya Deepti – HR, Mr Rinku Thapliyal and Mr. Aksheer Mittal – Technical Team Lead were welcomed by Dr Tapan k Nayak, Dean Academics and Dr. Avadhesh Kumar Gupta, Head MCA, Mr Tushar Sharma, Manager Placements – MCA along with Faculty & Students. During the Special session students were apprised about the latest technological trends in I.T Industry, its various vertical and the bright future prospects for MCA Students. Ms. Supriya Deepti – HR at Chetu urged the students to be passionate about technology and apprised the students about the personality traits that Corporate expects from Budding Technocrats. Mr Rinku Thapliyal – Team Lead @ Chetu spoke at large about latest Java Trends and its future and Mr. Aksheer Mittal, Team Lead @ Chetu talked about Python and its emerging Scope. Independence Day Celebrations at IMS Ghaziabad
IMS Ghaziabad celebrated 72nd Independence Day to pay tribute to all the martyrs and remember the glory of Independence Day with great pride. Prof. Ajay k Jain, Director IMS Ghaziabad welcomed the faculty, staff, their family members & students on this patriotic occasion and has all the praises & respect for the brave freedom fighters of India. He urged everyone to realize the importance of independence and to be united in the development of the nation. The flag hoisting ceremony was conducted with National Anthem being recited by each and every soul present in the vicinity. Everyone saluted the Tricolor with great respect and honor. All the Faculty Staff members gathered to pay homage to martyrs and took oath to make India Swachh, free from corruption, poverty, illness and terrorism. Not only the students, but the faculty & staff members along with their kids also showcased their creative talent by performing on this momentous day.

AD MAD Show, August 4, 2018
IMS Ghaziabad organized AD MAD show on August 4, 2018, where PGDM Students showcased Creativity & Innovation combined with Advertising skills to became “ADMANIACS”. The event was graced by Guest of Honor – Shri Kishore Chacraborti (Independent Brand consultants and Ex. Vice President of McCann Erickson India), who was also the Judge for the day, along with Director IMS, Prof. Ajay Kumar Jain and Dean –Academics, Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak,Faculty, staff and Students.
“Markwizz” – The Marketing club of IMS Ghaziabad, organized it’s very first students centric activity where more than 40 teams had participated. 16 Teams were selected for the final round of presentation.
The event was more special to all the volunteers of “Markwizz club” as they got recognized with emblem of “Markwizz club” during the “Investiture ceremony” of the club. On the behalf of creative ideas, customer appeal, team coordination and clarity of thoughts, the “Gully Gang” teams of participants were declared as first, while “Revolutionist” were second and “Gladiator” were third. Consolation prices were given to team “Maveris” and team “Bhaiya je smile” for their ad presentation. The event was facilitated by team marketing along with their Area Chair, Dr. Abhinav P. Tripathi.
Pre-Orientation Programme for MCA Lateral Entry 2018-20 Batch, August 1. 2018
IMS Ghaziabad organized a Pre-Orientation Programme for MCA Lateral Entry 2018-20 Batch. The Programme was inaugurated by Prof Ajay K Jain, Director IMS Ghaziabad, Dr Tapan K Nayak, Dean-Academics, and Dr Avadhesh k Gupta, Head MCA in the presence of Faculty, Staff, Students and their Proud Parents.
The aim of this Orientation Programme was to acquaint the budding Technocrats with the academic environment of the institute. Dr. Jain urged the students to be hardworking, patient and explore thyself in his own unique style by telling stories of Socrates, Raja Janak and Mahatma Buddha. Dr Nayak apprised the students about the importance of being regular and focused. Dr. Gupta, motivated the students to remain positive, humble, energetic and continuous. All the new entrants were introduced to the faculty & staff members. It was followed by an experience sharing session where students of Second and Third Year shared their experiences with the gathering. During the post lunch sessions, all the students underwent an outbound activity, where they had a lot of learning with fun
MCA Students STARTUP won 2nd Prize in STARTUP PARIKRAMA organized by Dr. A.P.J.A.K.T.U, Lucknow, July 24-27, 2018
MCA Final Year Students of IMS Ghaziabad – Priyanshu Shukla, Himanshu Tiwari, Shubham Kaliyar, Bharti, Pawan Kumar won 2nd Prize in the STARTUP PARIKRAMA which was organized by Dr. A.P.J.A.K.T.U, Lucknow. The Students were felicitated in a glittering ceremony by Mr. Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog in the august presence of Shri Desh Deepak Verma, Secretary-General, Rajya Sabha, Honorable Meenakshi Lekhi, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha along with Prof. Vineet Kansal, Dean UGSE, AKTU, Mr. Srijan Pal Singh, Advisor AKTU, Lucknow among other dignitaries during Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial, 3rd International Youth Conclave, Creating Livable Planet Earth at Pravasi Bhartiya Kendra, New Delhi, on July 27, 2018.
During the first two days of the summit, students were provided training how to pitch for the Startup Summit in front of Investors and what to cover in presentation, finance related terms like value of start-up, equity share, liquidity of business etc, how to plan for start-up, how to prepare a business plan, etc. Later on third day, MCA Students showcased live demonstrations of their projects to the panelist & investors. Prof Ajay k Jain, Director IMS Ghaziabad congratulated the students and urged them to pursue their dreams, innovate new ideas, and work towards setting up an entrepreneurial venture.
