In line with the strong research culture at IMS GHAZIABAD, a 30-year-old legacy Institute in management education, proudly present to you its much-awaited Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on ” MULTIVARIATE ANALYSIS USING QUANTITATIVE TECHNIQUES” from October 02-05, 2020. Timings for the same shall be 01:30 PM – 04:00 PM.
FDP Objectives:
The program is designed to provide experiential learning to participants through the application of suitable statistical software. This FDP primarily aims to enrich the knowledge of the participants associated with extensively used multivariate analysis tools by emphasizing on the estimation of the model, factor exploration, hypothesis development, and testing.

IMS Ghaziabad organized a Guest lecture on ” Self Learning – Supply Chain Management ” for PGDM II Year- IT Specialization students, MCA students and PGDM Big Data Analytics Students on August 29, 2020. The lecture was delivered by Industry Expert – Mr Swapnil Saurav, Manager, Service Now Software, Hyderabad. Prof Alok Pandey, Director IMS Ghaziabad welcomed the expert and stressed the need of Information Technology on supply chain Management. Prof. (Dr.) Tapan Kumar Nayak, Dean Academics and Prof Sachin Malhotra, Dean –MCA & Area Chair –IT also graced the occasion. Mr. Swapnil shared an in-depth insight into the real world application of IT on business operations. During his lecture, he explained the students about the different types of IT services and its impact on supply chain management. He also talked about self-learning supply chain process through artificial intelligence and machine learning. He showed students how the supplier quality management can be improved by finding patterns in supplier quality levels and creating track and trace data hierarchies. He shared case studies and quoted examples from his past experience which helped the students to co-relate he theoretical concepts with the practical aspect. Ms. Preeti Sirohi Assistant Professor – IT organized and moderated the session and expressed vote of thanks to the speaker.

Three Day Workshop by famous Cinema, TV and Theatre personality Mr. Pranay Dixit Concluded at IMS, Ghaziabad
Three-day workshop on ‘Improving Managerial Skills through Drama and Theatre’ organized by IMS, Ghaziabad got concluded on 21st August, 2020. The Resource Person of this eagerly attended the workshop was the former corporate executive and the famous Cinema, TV and Theatre personality Mr. Pranay Dixit who, on the last day of the workshop, shared that failures and testing times occur in life but we should neither take them to heart nor should stop trying. Citing examples from his own life he shared that if one door closes for us, another opens. We should remain vigilant and deliver quality whenever we get an opportunity. During the workshop, he delivered important sessions Team Building, Leadership, Time Management, Stress Management and Confidence Building. The workshop was attended by all PGDM students and faculty members who found it extremely useful and enriching.
Mr. Pranay Dixit is an inspiring alumnus of IMS, Ghaziabad and has done more than 600 roles in TV serials, three short films and a full-fledged Hindi feature film. Apart from being a prominent face of iconic TV shows, Mr. Pranay has done an award-winning movie ‘ROAR- The Tigers of the Sunderbans’. His popular TV Shows include Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai, Lapataganj, FIR, Chidiyaghar, Gilli Gilli Gappa, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, May I Come In Madam, Neeli Chatri Wale, Jija Ji Chath Par Hain and many more. The workshop was scheduled from August 19 – 21, 2020.

International FDP on Financial Modelling using Excel was inaugurated on July 27,2020 by Director Prof. Alok Pandey, Ph. D. in the presence of Dr. Tapan K Nayak, Dean (Academics). Prof. Pandey set the tone of the program by underlining why Finance and data analysis & modelling matter. The instructor of the day Dr. Tal Mofkadi, Professor of Finance, Tel Aviv University, Israel gave a lucid talk on The Importance of Using Excel in Finance. He demonstrated how complex concepts like Roll’s Critique and Options Pricing can be brought to life in the classroom if taught using Excel. Dr. Mofkadi also shared how Excel has many advantages over other software when it comes to Finance. The session was managed by the team comprising Dr. Pankaj K Agarwal, Mr. Gaurav Dawar and Dr. Ankit Goel with support of various IMS functionaries.
