MOS International Certification Training for PGDM Students
IMSGhaziabad, under the dynamic leadership of Prof. J.P. Sharma, Director, IMS Ghaziabad, in its constant endeavor to groom its students for Industry, organized a 24 Hours MOS International Certification Training for PGDM Batch 2016-18 from November 22-25, 2016. The Training was conducted by ATS Infotech (Microsoft IT Academy Partners). Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Programme chairperson, PGDM encouraged students to take full advantage of this excellent opportunity and learn this powerful tool as it helps the Managers in meeting day to day requirements.
The training took place section wise where separate trainers were provided to each section. The trainers were Mr. Nishant Kumar Sharma, Mr. Parth Shukla , Mr. Lokesh Lalwani, Mr. Suresh Pal and Ms. Huma Kauser. Individual attention was paid to the students and emphasis was on making them well conversant with the practical nuances of how to collate & analyze the information quickly and effectively use it in different business situations. Dr. Sunayana Jain and Dr. Tusshar Mahajan extended heartiest thanks to Prof. J.P Sharma and trainers for their overall support and guidance.

Seminar on “BREXIT: Implications for Global & Indian Economy” at IMS Ghaziabad
The scheduled seminar on “BREXIT: Implications for Global & Indian Economy”, will be delivered by a very senior career diplomat – Former High Commissioner of India to Mauritius, Mr. Anup Mudgal. The seminal lecture will dwell on ‘global world dynamics after Britain’s announcement of exit from European Union’. This will certainly have great implications on India’s bilateral economic relations vis-à-vis Britain, in particular and European Union in general.
Mr. Anup Mudgal did his MSc, M.Phil (in Plant Sciences) from University of Delhi and joined coveted Indian Foreign Service (IFS) in 1984. During 1997-2000, as a Counsellor posted in Brussels (Belgium), he was mainly responsible for European Union issues. His stint as Deputy Chief of Mission at Vienna (Austria) in 2006-08, and also as Deputy Permanent Representative to United Nations in Vienna, gave him crucial tasks of negotiations at IAEA, Nuclear safety issues, Global energy concerns and other UN based issues. Mr. Mudgal had also served as High Commissoner of India to Port Louis (Mauritius). He was mainly responsible to ‘Indian Ocean matters’, ‘Maritime Security’, ‘Blue Economy’, developmental projects etc.

27th PGDM Induction Programme at IMS Ghaziabad – Day I & II
IMS Ghaziabad organized PGDM (AICTE Approved, NBA Accredited and Equiv. to MBA by AIU) Induction Programme during July 20-22, 2016 on the occasion of commencement of its 27th batch. The Induction programme revolved around the theme: “Corporate Expectations from Young Managers”. The main objective of this programme is to sensitize the young budding managers with the pragmatic experiences of the corporate world and its expectations from them in the challenging and changing Global scenario.
Sh. Pramod Agarwal CMD, Rama Paper Mills Ltd. & Managing Trustee, IMS Ghaziabad, & Prof J. P. Sharma, Director- IMS Ghaziabad, welcomed the Guests of the day and the new entrants along with their Parents. Sh. Anup Mudgal, IFS Former Indian High Commissioner to Mauritius was the Chief Guest for the day. Renowned Speakers threw light on the brief role of budding managers in current scenario and what should be their roadmap to success. More than 400 students including Faculty and Staff Members of the Institute attended the event. Towards the end, Business Management Games were organized for the new batch so that they get induced to the culture of the institute and improve their decision making and analytical skills, develop their ability to function co-operatively and effectively in situations, create experiential learning environment and focus on leadership competencies.
The Students were introduced to the academic rules and regulations, examination & grading system, different specializations, co-curricular & extracurricular activities by Dr. Tapan kumar Nayak, Chairperson PGDM, Controller of Examinations and all the Area chairpersons on July 20, 2016. A dedicated interactive session was also conducted by Prof. J. P. Sharma, Director IMS Ghaziabad with around 100 Parents of students to apprise them more about the Institute.
