Special session on Summer Internship Project and Selection of Specialization for PGDM Students (Batch 2018-20)
With an objective to give clarity to PGDM students of Batch 2018-20 on SIP and Areas of Specialization, a special session on Summer Internship Project and Selection of Specialization courses was conducted at IMS Ghaziabad on April 16, 2019.
Dr. Alok Pandey, Director-IMS Ghaziabad has addressed the students and emphasised on the effectiveness of SIP and importance of learning corporate culture in this welcome address. Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Dean-Academics made the students’ aware about rules and guidelines in completing the summer internship project, project submission and evaluation criteria. Dr. Neeraj Sanghi, Area Chairperson Finance , Dr. Anita Singh, Area Chairperson HR, Dr. Abhinav P. Tripathi, Area Chairperson Marketing, Dr. Sunayana Jain, Area Chairperson Operations and Dr. SK Dube, Area Chairperson-IB discussed the scope, issues and challenges in different areas of specialization along with various queries raised by the students. Mr Rohit Sehgal, Head CRC gave the overview of corporate sector. The event has also witnessed a book lunch ceremony written by Dr. Surabhi Singh and was launched by the Director and Dean-Academics.

IMS Ghaziabad is proud to share that it the only institute in India whose MCA students qualified to participate in the Grand Finale of Software Edition Smart India Hackathon 2019, organized by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt of India. Six MCA First Year Students of IMS Ghaziabad went to participate in Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2019 at Siksha o Anusandhan, bhubaneswar along with Mr Rakesh Roushan, Assiatant Professor – I.T as Mentor.

IMS Ghaziabad, a pioneer in the field of management education has bucked the trend once again by creating an ecosystem that seeks to create Job Creators rather than Job Seekers.
IMS Ghaziabad opened an Incubation Center under the stewardship of our Director Prof Anita Singh, Dean Academics Dr. Tapan Nayak, Dean MCA Dr. Sachin Malhotra and Mr. Vinay Anand, Head of Entrepreneurship.
The Incubation Center seeks to harness the entrepreneurial streak of our talented students. In a short span of time, the center has witnessed enthusiastic response from students of all batches and courses. A few of our startups have also won national and international accolades.

Seminar on ‘StockMIND – Importance of Stock Market for Students’
Institute of Management Studies Ghaziabad organized a seminar on Seminar on ‘StockMIND-Importance of Stock Market for Students’, on January 09, 2018 for the students of PGDM. The seminar was conducted by ICICI Direct Center for Financial Learning. The program started with the gracious presence of Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Director IMS Ghaziabad,Dr. Neeraj Sanghi, Area Chairperson-Finance, Dr. Mayank Kumar, Associate Professor Finance, Ms. Malini Prasad, Zonal Marketing Head – North & East India, ICICI Securities and faculty members of IMS Ghaziabad. In the beginning, director Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak addressed the students emphasizing on the importance of capital market for investors and the significance of virtual stock market game StockMIND for students in career building.
The objective of the seminar was to give the exposure and understanding of stock market operations to the students. The theme of the seminar covered importance of capital market, equity instruments, career in equity research, trading in equity market. StockMIND season 6, the virtual stock market game of ICICI Direct, was introduced to students for participation.
Ms. Malini Prasad imparted knowledge of secondary market and its operations to students. In this seminal address a demo session on virtual game ‘ Stock Mind’ was introduced to students. The session was concluded with vote of thanks extended by Finance Department.

To foster and strengthen unity, integrity and security of our nation, IMS Ghaziabad celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on October 31, 2017. IMS Ghaziabad organized Oath Taking Ceremony on this auspicious day under the kind presence of Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Director – IMS Ghaziabad and Dr. Avadhesh Kumar Gupta, HOD – MCA, and was conducted by Dr. Anchal Mishra. All the students, Faculty and staff members of IMS Ghaziabad took the pledge with a strong agenda of National unity.

On Day 2 of PGDM Induction Programme at IMS, Chief Guest -Prof.(Dr.) A. N. Rai, Former Director-NAAC (GOI), & Former Vice Chancellor –NEHU, Shillong; emphasized on “Innovation & Out of Box Thinking as a key to success”. The Key Note Speaker- Dr. Chandan Mitra, Editor & Managing Director, The Pioneer (reputed National daily of India) & twice member of Rajya Sabha, urged students to Focus on their study as “Dharma”. Prof. J. P. Sharma, Director IMS Ghaziabad, in the august presence of Dr. Pramod Agarwal (Managing Trustee, IMS Ghaziabad), and Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director-IMS-UC, exhorted budding IMSians to acquire ethical and moral values. Programme Chairperson, Dr.Tapan Kumar Nayak, expressed vote of thanks.
In the second session, internationally renowned academician Prof. Debi S. Saini ( MDI) highlighted the skills needed most by the Corporates. During the session, Mr. Ajit Kumar Mishra (Chief Project Manager, Dedicated freight Corridor Corp. Ltd), Mr. Sushant Dubey, DGM-Alliance from IBM India; Mr. Shakun Khanna, Senior Director, HCM Strategy & Transformation, Oracle; and Co-founder & Director- “Winning Mantra”- Mr. Pramod Joshi, also shared their views and blessed the students.. Dr.S.K.Dube, Area Chairperson-(IB), expressed vote of thanks to the august gathering.
Later on, all budding IMSians, in small groups, were introduced to “Management Games”.
