IMS Ghaziabad is organizing an extensive PGDM Induction Programme from July 09-11, 2017, on the occasion of commencement of 28th batch of PGDM. The programme will revolve around the theme: “Corporate Expectations from Young Managers”. The main objective of this programme is to sensitize the young budding managers with the pragmatic experiences of the corporate world and its expectations from them in the challenging and changing Global scenario with special focus on handling stress, meditation and yoga.

Yet Another Successful PGDM Placement Season at IMS Ghaziabad
IMS Ghaziabad, A NAAC ‘A’ Grade Accredited Institution, stands tall among the premier business schools in the country for the phenomenal placements of its Flagship Programme, PGDM (Approved by AICTE, Accredited by NBA and Equivalent to MBA by AIU). IMSian’s, yet again, proved their character through the stellar performances by securing a total of 313 Placement Offers, amidst the increasing volatile economic scenario internationally. IMS Ghaziabad fortified its position among the regular recruiters, whilst increasing it, who yet again showed immense faith in the pedagogy, faculty, alumni and students for building future leadership. A total of 160 companies confirmed participation for the final placement process offering a plethora of roles across all major domains. The average CTC stood at INR 5.6 LPA with the highest domestic CTC being INR 14 LPA. Four students bagged international offers from Buoy Group. The placement season saw an overwhelming response from companies spanning across various sectors such as Banking, NBFC, Manufacturing / Logistics, FMCG, E-Commerce, Consulting, Retail, Service, I.T, Real Estate, Telecom, Media, Research, and Consumer Durables.

Special session on Summer Internship Project and Selection of Specialization for PGDM Students (Batch 2016-18) Under the aegis of Prof. J. P. Sharma, Director-IMS Ghaziabad and with an objective to give clarity to PGDM students of Batch 2016-18, a special session on Summer Internship Project and Selection of Specialization was conducted at IMS Ghaziabad on April 05, 2017. Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Program Chairperson, PGDM made the students’ aware about rules and guidelines in completing the summer internship project, project submission and evaluation criteria. Dr. Neeraj Sanghi, Area Chairperson Finance , Dr. Lata Bajpai, Area Chairperson HR, Dr. Dheeraj Sharma, Area Chairperson Marketing, Dr. Sunayana Jain, Area Chairperson Operations discussed the scope, issues and challenges in different areas of specialization along with various queries raised by the students. Mr Rohit Sehgal, Head CRC gave the overview of corporate. The event was concluded with the felicitation ceremony of Melange participants, being acknowledged by Prof. J.P. Sharma, Director, IMS Ghaziabad on behalf of the management and on his personal behalf, for their voluminous contribution in making Melange 2017 a grand success.

Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad witnessed the Felicitation Ceremony of 30 Hours Certification Program on “Placement Readiness Enhancement Programme” conducted by Mr. Pramod Joshi and his Team of The Winning Mantra on October 05, 2013 for all 2nd year PGDM students. In the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad congratulated all PGDM students who have successfully completed 30 hours Placement Readiness Enhancement Programme.
All the PGDM students were felicitated with the participation Certificate at the end by Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad, Dr. Tapan K. Nayak, Programme Chairperson and the dignitaries from the Winning Mantra Team. Best five PGDM students namely Ms. Archana, Mr. Chinmay Srivastav, Ms. Ritija Ray, Ms. Shruti Sachan and Mr. Sunil Tahiliani from the whole 2014 batch based on their overall performances in the programme awarded with “Star Achiever Award Trophy” and Certificate along with the participation certificate followed by a highly motivational and concluding remarks by Mr. Pramod Joshi, Director, The Winning Mantra.

IMS PGDM Students attended a National Conference on “Financial Fraud” organized by ASSOCHAM on 27th July 2013 at Shangri-La’s hotel New Delhi with Prof Nandita Mishra. The Conference was all about the negative impact of big scam held due to frauds which made a deep dent in the corporate India’s reputation. Discussion was all about how the year was beleaguered with other more fraudulent incidents and controversies.
Our students got a chance to interact with Mr. Arpinder Singh (Partner and Leader, Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services, ERNST & YOUNG) who spoke about the financial disputes and fraud issues faced by the industry in today’s scenario. He also guided them in the way that they need to move on in life and showed them the path to achieve their goals in life.
There were many more reputed speakers who advised on various platforms of Industry related to Financial Fraud, Disputes and various other issues in financial sector.
Attending this conference was enlightening for our students and proved to be the best of learning experience.
