IMS Ghaziabad organized “Two Days Certification ProgrammeFirst Steps” by GHRDC on August 23 & 24, 2018, for its PGDM I Year students. During the inaugural address, Prof. Ajay K. Jain, Director IMS Ghaziabad, Ms. Mekhla Sinha, Executive Director, GHRDC, Ms. Neha Kapodor, Manager GHRDC, Dean- Academics, Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, faculty and budding PGDM First Year students were present. In his address Prof. Jain highlighted the importance of “Goal Setting” in one’s life. He elaborated it by naming 3 Ms- Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Dasarath Manjhi. The common linkages among three was their determination to achieve “Invincible goals”. On both days, Ms. Mekhla Sinha and Ms. Neha had engaged budding IMSians by conducting several ‘Self- Enriching ‘ activities.

At the end of the two days programme , students were awarded certificate. It was a great learning delight for PGDM I year students. Dr. S.K.Dube & Ms. Khushboo Sherwani were the coordinators for the programme.

IMS Ghaziabad is pleased to share that Prof. Ajay K Jain, Director IMS Ghaziabad delivered a lecture on Emotional Intelligence’ at APPPA hall, IIPA under stream “Managing Human Resource in Organizations”, on August 16, 2018.

The Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), established in 1954 is research and training organization under the Ministry of Personnel of the Government of India. Prof Jain delivered a lecture during the very prestigious IIPA’s (Indian Institute of Public Administration) forty-fourth Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration (APPPA) which was attended by around 40 senior officers from various Ministries and Departments.

PGDM Fresher’s Day Celebration
PGDM Fresher’s Bash at IMS Ghaziabad LAVISH SPECTACULAR AND ELECTRIFYING!! These words aren’t enough to summarize the PGDM ‘Fresher’s Party’, at IMS Ghaziabad. The senior PGDM batch 2017-2019 organized an extravagant fresher’s party on August 18, 2018. It was an ecstasy filled afternoon, where the fresher’s got an opportunity not only to showcase their talents but also to interact with their seniors. Jovial smiles and high spirits marked the welcome party for the students. The blossoming minds entered the auditorium sticking to the theme “WELKOM FEISTA”. The Royal Colors of Summer filling that sets the tone this season, full of bold vibes of black and royal touch of red. It felt like entering into another dimension utopia of wonder. Prof. Ajay K. Jain, Director, IMS Ghaziabad, heartily welcomed the PGDM batch 2018-2020 students. With pulsating ambience, flashing lights, bright colors and foot tapping music, the party began with a blast. The event was nothing short of an award night with The PGDM first year batch participating whole heartedly for the titles of Mr. and Ms. Fresher – 2018. The run for the titles was further glorified by gala song and dance performances by the seniors. Mr. Aman Kumar Jha and Ms. Kamya Chaudhary were crowned Mr. and Ms Fresher’s 2018. Mr. Abdul Basit and Ms. Pitambara Singh Parihar bagged Mr. and Ms. Popular -2018. Mr. Shivam Khanna and Ms. Khushbu Bisht nailed Mr. and Ms. Talented 2018. And Mr. Gaurav Tomar and Ms. K.M. Sudhanya bagged Mr. and Ms. Well Dressed-2018. All the Winners were felicitated by the Dean-Academics Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak along with Faculty Judges and last year’s Mr. and Ms. Fresher. The electrifying atmosphere was filled with fun, enthusiasm and excitement followed by DJ and refreshing dinner

IMS Ghaziabad organized a Grand 22nd Orientation Programme on a very pertinent theme “CORPORATE EXPECTATAIONS FROM YOUNG TECHNOCRATS” for its MCA (2018-21) & MCA Lateral Entry (2018-20) batches on August 20, 2018 which was inaugurated by Renowned Academic luminaries – Chief Guest – Prof Prem Vrat, Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor of Eminence and Chief Mentor, North Cap University, Gurugram, Founder Director – IIT Roorkee & Former Vice Chancellor U.P.T.U, Lucknow; Presidential Speaker – Prof R K Khandal, President R&D and Business Development, India Glycols Pvt Ltd & Former Vice Chancellor – UPTU, Lucknow; in the august presence of Industry Stalwarts – Mr. Ashish Singla, Vice President – RBS, Mr. S P S Jolly, Executive Director Indian Oil, Mr Kunal Singhal, MD- Eazy ERP, Mr Vikramjeet Singh, Director Risk Consulting – KPMG, Dr Pramod Agarwal, Managing Trustee – IMS Ghaziabad, Prof Ajay k Jain, Director – IMS Ghaziabad, Dr Tapan k Nayak – Dean Academics & Dr Avadhesh k Gupta, Head MCA, faculty & staff members and students.

Prof. vrat in his eloquent style praised the institution for its 28 years of Glorious legacy in disseminating knowledge and urged the students as well as faculty to “Involve and Inspire” and develop a co-learning environment which will help the students in facing any uncertainty that they might face in their future endeavors. Prof. Khandal, candidly expressed and asked the students to follows our traditions – Sanskar, respect & understand the Great Indian culture, the wisdom India had and try to follow the values that our forefathers have passed on to us. Industry Experts apprised the budding technocrats with their experiences, Future technological trends like BlockChain etc, opportunities, hurdles and how to overcome them.

Moreover, It was the perfect occasion to felicitate the Meritorious MCA Students who have showcased exemplary performances in University Examinations. The following students of MCA & MCA-LE were awarded cash prizes – Keerti Shrivastava (2014-17), Vinayak Singh (L.E 2015-17), Ankit Gupta (L.E 2015-17), Preeti Gupta (2015-18), Abhishek Singh (2015-18), Shubham Gupta (L.E 2016-18), Apoorva Srivastava (2016-19) and Bharti Goyal (2016-19). An Outbound activity was also performed with the new entrants to instill & develop self-confidence, Communication, Team work and leadership skills amongst them. All the students enjoyed the days proceeding which was full of learning & fun-filled activities.

IMS Ghaziabad, under the kind patronage of Prof. Ajay K Jain, Director IMS Ghaziabad, organized a Special session for MCA Students on “Current Scenario in Java & Python – Careers in I.T” delivered by Expert Team from Chetu – A US Based Software Development Company. The Esteemed Guests – Mr. Supriya Deepti – HR, Mr Rinku Thapliyal and Mr. Aksheer Mittal – Technical Team Lead were welcomed by Dr Tapan k Nayak, Dean Academics and Dr. Avadhesh Kumar Gupta, Head MCA, Mr Tushar Sharma, Manager Placements – MCA along with Faculty & Students. During the Special session students were apprised about the latest technological trends in I.T Industry, its various vertical and the bright future prospects for MCA Students. Ms. Supriya Deepti – HR at Chetu urged the students to be passionate about technology and apprised the students about the personality traits that Corporate expects from Budding Technocrats. Mr Rinku Thapliyal – Team Lead @ Chetu spoke at large about latest Java Trends and its future and Mr. Aksheer Mittal, Team Lead @ Chetu talked about Python and its emerging Scope. It was a highly interactive and learning experience for the students where they interacted with full zeal

 

 

Independence Day Celebrations at IMS Ghaziabad

IMS Ghaziabad celebrated 72nd Independence Day to pay tribute to all the martyrs and remember the glory of Independence Day with great pride. Prof. Ajay k Jain, Director IMS Ghaziabad welcomed the faculty, staff, their family members & students on this patriotic occasion and has all the praises & respect for the brave freedom fighters of India. He urged everyone to realize the importance of independence and to be united in the development of the nation. The flag hoisting ceremony was conducted with National Anthem being recited by each and every soul present in the vicinity. Everyone saluted the Tricolor with great respect and honor. All the Faculty Staff members gathered to pay homage to martyrs and took oath to make India Swachh, free from corruption, poverty, illness and terrorism. Not only the students, but the faculty & staff members along with their kids also showcased their creative talent by performing on this momentous day.

 

Blood Donation Camp at IMS Ghaziabad

Being a socially proactive institution, IMS Ghaziabad this year organized its Blood Donation Camp at its campus on August 13, 2018 in association with Rotary Club, Sahibabad. Various eminent members of Rotary Club marked their presence during the inaugural ceremony of the event. Mr. Subhash Jain, District Governor, Rotary Club was the Chief Guest for the day along
with Mr. Sandeep Garg, Project Chairman as a special guest. Shri Rakesh Chharia, President, Rotary Club and General Secretary, IMS society infused positivity among all present during the ribbon cutting ceremony. Prof. Ajay Kr. Jain, Director, IMS Ghaziabad welcomed all the dignitaries, appreciated the efforts of all the organizing committee members and motivated the
students for volunteering as donors in this noble cause. All the Faculty & Staff members along with PGDM and MCA students gathered to convey the message of humanity to the society by donating more than 150 units of blood. The conveners, Dr. Sunayana Jain and Dr. Anjali Rai expressed heartiest thanks to everyone who stood up in making this event a grand success.
Rotary Club saluted the spirit of IMSians and promised to come up with another such drive in near future.
