IMS Ghaziabad organized a Guest lecture on “Changing Consumer Behaviour in Post Covid world” for PGDM Second Year Marketing Specialization students. The lecture was delivered by Ms. Kanika Mathur, AVP-HR, Encore Advantage, and Mr. Mukesh Goswami, Director and Head-Business Systems, Encore Advantage. Prof Alok Pandey, Director, IMS Ghaziabad welcomed the experts. During the lecture, Ms Kanika elaborated the importance of BPR in value creation of organizations. Further Mr. Mukesh Goswami deliberated on the changes that the consumer behaviour has been witnessing in the post covid world. The digitization of the businesses will lead to rediscovering of innovative mechanisms to serve the consumer of the post covid world. Dr. Surabhi Singh, Associate Professor expressed vote of thanks to the speaker and also the management for the support extended for the successful execution of Webinar.

Mr. Vivek Dua, General Manager, BSNL Corporate Office, Delhi delivered the 38th webinar of IMS, Ghaziabad on the theme ‘Artificial Intelligence & Market Competency: Challenges & Opportunities’ held on 7th August, 2020. The session was inaugurated by the Director, IMS, Ghaziabad, Prof. Alok Pandey followed by the deliberations by the Expert Speaker. Mr. Dua discussed how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is empowering machines with more human-like characteristics. He interestingly introduced the concept of AI powered Smart Traffic Lights and IoT. This highly enriching session was attended by around 150 students and faculty members. The session was effectively moderated by Dean Academics Prof. Tapan Kumar Nayak while the Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. Abhinav P. Tripathi.

IMS Ghaziabad organized the 37th webinar on the theme The Deadlock with the Dragon: Exploring A Self Reliant Trade Millennium sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, under the dynamic leadership of Director Prof Alok Pandey on Tuesday 28th July 2020.
The guest speaker for the webinar was Dr. Surendar Singh ,Senior Deputy Director, Engineering Export Promotion Council, Set up and sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Dean Academics Prof Tapan kumar Nayak welcomed the guest and the introduction of the speaker was given by Ms.Saloni Chitkara , Assistant professor, Operations.
Dr Singh started off the session with sharing insights on the Dynamics and Direction of India’s trade with China, followed by discussion impacts China have on the Indian Manufacturing sector. The most important thoughts were around the Atma Nirbhar Bharat vis a vis Import Substitution Strategy focusing on the Five pillars – Economy, Infrastructure, System, Vibrant demography and Demand that will help India Realign its strategy for future. He emphasized on three mantras for India to become a manufacturing hub as Perform, transform and Reform.

Dean Academics Prof Tapan Kumar Nayak introduced and welcomed the guest for the webinar. Mr Mateen lucidly stated that a robust Supply chain is an important factor for success of any business. He aptly discussed about badly affected Industries like Pharma, Automotive, paints etc. as their raw materials are coming from China leading to a cascading effect on their overall supply chain.
He shared that it’s the right time when the government should incentivize to improve the supply chain for the growth of Indian economy and also emphasized on three attributes that can act as determinants for the success for any supply chain are AGILE, ADOPT and ALIGN. The session ended with an interactive question & answer round.

Prof Alok Pandey extended the welcome address and discussed the history of such pandemics and how the world coped up with them.
Dr Tapan Kumar Nayak, Dean Academics, IMS Ghaziabad welcomed the esteemed guest and moderated the session.
Dr Sharma gave the students & faculty members an insight about India’s widening economic landscape and told the components of Atmanirbhar Bharat. It was indeed a very informative and eye opening session in terms of financial & economic challenges.
The session ended with a question & answer round followed by a vote of thanks to Dr S P Sharma and the participants.
